| I
gotta tell ya, I make no guarantees that this is exactly what was said
in worship. These are road maps prepared before worship, linear
approaches to thinking about pieces of the Biblical text as a way of
understanding God's connection to our culture and life.
The problem with road maps is they are obsolete the moment they are printed. The other problem is Spirit is not linear, but more like water. These are at best pointers, indicators of God's movement in our midst. Trust God. I'm not one who's rich in righteousness telling poor sinners how to be rich like me. I think of myself as a thirsty one telling other thirsty people where he's found a drink of water. As you read these, hear first the invitation that supersedes what is written, "Come on in, the water's fine." -- Jonathan Arnpriester
