TRADITIONAL WORSHIP

Wor
ship is one of the great strengths of Catalina!  Each Sunday, three traditional worship services are offered.  All three services have FM assisted listening devices and large print bulletins are available at every service.  Childcare is provided during all worship services and there is a cry room at the rear of the Sanctuary.  Audio tapes of the Sanctuary services are available upon request.

Chapel Worship                   8:15a.m.           Memorial Chapel
For those who like an early start and enjoy a relaxed, informal opportunity to worship, we invite you to join us in the chapel on Sunday morning.  This smaller congregation encourages an intimate worship experience.  Special music is provided by one of the outstanding vocal or instrumentalists at Catalina.  The Chapel features stunning contemporary stained glass windows of the creation, the desert, and the people of the desert.

Family Worship                   9:30 a.m.                     Sanctuary
Worship services in the Sanctuary include the great hymns and music of the our faith, both classical and contemporary. This service features our childrens' choirs, Youth Music, pipe organ with concert-level organist, Festival Ringers Bell Choir, Brass Ensemble, instrumental soloists, and an ensemble from the Sanctuary Choir.  Families are encouraged to come to worship together. Following the Children's Moment with the pastor in worship, the children go to Sunday School.

Traditional Worship           11:00 a.m.                   Sanctuary
/files/Worship and Music/choir-2004_Resized_300x241.jpgLike the 9:30 a.m. service, this worship service includes the great hymns and music of our faith, (both classical and contemporary).  This service also features our 70-voice Sanctuary Choir, pipe organ with concert-level organist, Festival Ringers Bell Choir, Brass Ensemble, and various instrumental soloists.   Each Sunday, the pastor has the children come forward for Children's Moment with the pastor in worship before they leave for a planned children's time.

Holy Communion
Holy Communion is offered at all services on the first Sunday of each month. Holy Communion in the United Methodist Church is open to all people, regardless of age, church affiliation, or lifestyle. All are invited and welcome to share in the Sacrament. (Catalina uses grape juice for Communion).

Holy Communion is offered the other Sundays of the month in the Chapel following the 9:30 and 11:00 worship services in the Chapel.  You are invited to come receive communion and to pray.  Stephen Ministers are available if you need to talk with someone.
