at Catalina
Catalina defines young adults as those ages 18-30+. There are many different types of opportunities for any age throughout this spectrum. One thing is for sure, you can come expecting to find an open, welcoming group of people. All of our events are open to everyone, so bring your friends! We can’t wait to meet you!
Young Adult Connect

The top things you said you were interested in are: [drum roll please]
Social gatherings, small group Bible studies, local service opportunities, and active stuff (sports, outdoor stuff, bowling, etc).
So, here are the next steps:
1-We have planned a hike/cookout on Mount Lemmon for Sunday, September 2. We will have a casual sandwich bar in the kitchen after worship (around 12:15 or so), so you can have some lunch, and then we will carpool up to Mount Lemmon. We can hike, etc. all afternoon, and then we plan to start a fire (an AUTHORIZED fire, in a SAFE, CONTROLLED spot) and roast hot dogs and have smores around the campfire. The possibilities are endless: we can play cards at a picnic table… Anyway, the date is September 2. This is Labor Day weekend, so if some of you wanted to stay and camp all night, that would be cool.
2-We are going to schedule a game night at someone’s house. This is a social thing with food and your favorite games, and getting to know people. I believe I could host this at my house, BUT if one of you would like to volunteer YOUR place, that would be great. (Get more people involved, you know.) We are probably looking at a date AFTER the Sept. 2 event. Please email me if you want to host this event.
3-We are starting a small group Bible study. Do we have volunteers to host it at your home? To lead (with coaching and help) the Bible study? And what night would work best for you? Please email me with any volunteering of best night for Bible study suggestions.
4-We have scheduled a local service opportunity. We will serve at Casa Maria on Oct. 13. Casa Maria is a local soup kitchen ministry. Some of you have helped there before. I will send more info on this as the date gets closer.

We have social, FUN! events on a monthly basis.
We go swimming, bowling, and to the movies.
We've been known to have groups get together for exercise.

We find ways to serve the community of Tucson.
We participate with our denomination in larger events just for young adults.
