New Member Class

An opportunity to learn more about what it means to be a follower of Christ at Catalina. Class leaders seek to teach about basic Christian faith and United Methodist history and beliefs and to attempt to answer questions like, "What does Baptism mean?" and "why do we take communion?" They also lead a Spiritual Gifts inventory designed to help you identify your spiritual gifts and talents. Our main goal is to build you up into what it means to be a follower of Christ. We know that following Christ gives life and would like to invite you to be a part of life-giving at Catalina. We believe everyone is given spiritual gifts to use for the betterment of God's kingdom, for giving life.
If you wish, you may be received as a member at any worship service following the last session. Even if you are not interested in membership or are already a member, we hope you will come to the class seeking to find how you might open your life to be a part of God's blessings. While we do have childcare available, children are welcome at all New Member Class events.
