Here is a little update on each Circle:
Circle 1 meets the 2nd Monday of each month, September thru May at 7:15 p.m. in homes. Our several projects include helping women and children, actively supporting the GREAT RED BAZAAR, maintaining a Prayer Chain and commitment to local, national and global missions. Visitors are always welcome.

Circle 2 meets at 9:30 a.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Bride's Room at the church. Each month we enjoy fellowship, refreshments, devotions and a program. We are interested in missions; local needs especially, with our monthly donations delivered by one of our members to deserving mission projects here in Tucson. If you are interested in joining a friendly, caring group, come meet with us.

Circle 3 (The Garcia Circle) meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month in Room E1S. Our group has missionaries in Chile for which we are named. They have visited and spoken at our Unit meetings several times and we keep E-mail contact with them. There is always an interesting program, devotions, use of the Prayer Calendar, reports of mission projects around the world from the Response and World Outlook magazines. Our projects include a monthly collection of money and food for the Community Food Bank and the collection of school supplies for an after-school program at Hope United Methodist Church. You will find us welcoming and thrilled to have new members.

Circle 5: In accordance with the purpose of United Methodist Women, Circle 5's program focus on the needs of children, youth and women in the local church, in the community and in the world. Circle 5 meets at the church in Room E18 the second Tuesday of each month, September through May. Meetings begin at 9:30 a.m. with a social hour followed by the program at 10:00 a.m. Programs are designed to last approximately one-half hour. The morning concludes with a brief business meeting. Each month Circle 5 members participate in a mission project which is designated to help some organization such as Tucson Metropolitan Ministries, Amphi Clothing Bank, Girls' Ranch, Youth on Their Own or World Care. The members of Circle 5 heartily welcome you.

The Priscilla Bible Study meets the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of each month at 10:30 a.m. in Room E18. Our group focuses on Bible Study. In September we are beginning the study of Acts of the Apostles using Barclay's Commentary. If you are interested in some in-depth bible study this is the group we hope you will consider joining. Newcomers are most welcome.

The Women's Sewing Group meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Quilts were made and given to TMM, a women's and children's shelter. Some of the ladies make mittens, caps, lap robes and hot pads that we sell at the Red Bazaar in November, the proceeds go for mission projects. We enjoy the fellowship of the group and we are always looking for new members. So if you have some time, come check us out and see how much fun we have.

We have a Fellowship/Craft Workshop that meets on the 3rd, 4th, & 5th Tuesdays of the month in Room E18. Our main project is to make craft items to sell at our biggest money raiser- The Great Red Bazaar - held the first Saturday in November. We also help our members clean out their closets by including a "White Elephant" booth, which is very popular. Along with the crafts, we offer books, plants, jewelry and food booths and a few surprises. We have great support from our congregation and the community. The proceeds are used to fulfill our pledge to missions both locally and globally. Some of our local mission work includes: Church Women United, Community Food Bank, Catalina Youth Program, Wesley Community Center in Phoenix, Wesley Campus Christian Center on the U of A campus, Catalina Day School, TMM Family Services, Sidewalk Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Youth Camperships just to name a few.

As you can see, we have much to offer in doing God's work in our community and in the world. If you are a woman reading this for the first time, we hope you will consider joining our active group. We'd love to have you with us in one or all of our activities. We look forward to seeing and getting to know you.
