All prayer requests from the very special children of Sidewalk Sunday School - Tucson.

     On Saturday, April 15th I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Sidewalk Sunday School in action in Tucson. After months of preparation, truck conversion and training, we now are with the children, God's children, speaking and teaching about our Lord who makes all things possible. The site is now almost 4 weeks old, and already we have witnessed to over 60 children over the same period! We also rejoice greatly in God's servants - our Sidewalk Shepherds who have averaged 12 in number each week - 12 or more adults willing to take several hours on their Saturday to be friends with the children and family members of our first Tucson Sidewalk neighborhood. We are off to a great start in Tucson, and the site and its witness for Christ will only continue to grow. Jesus is in the Neighborhood!

     During one of the lessons, the children were learning about tithing. They learned that God loves all gifts, that no gift is too small or insignificant. "If I only have a penny to give, is it Ok?" "Could I bring a note to Jesus?" And one little boy, with Love in his eyes suggested, "you could always bring a friend so they could hear about Jesus." Friends, that brought a few tears to my eyes. Wisdom out of the mouths of babes... if only we could remember to think that way.

     I would also like to share with you that we have received our first donation from a national vendor - Karen's Kids in Iowa - wonderful friend to Sidewalk! These products emphasize diversity and the rainbow of children God has entrusted to our care. Bless this company and their donation for our Sidewalk kids: 139 full size posters and 300 pocket posters!
